TruPatch™ is used to collect sweat from your skin. The patch has a pad that soaks up the sweat. It stays on your skin and collects sweat from the time you put it on until you take it off. Drugs can then be detected in the collected sweat.

The sweat collection patch is designed to retain evidence of drug use for a long time. You should wear the patch for at least 24 hours to collect enough sweat to test for drugs accurately. It’s usually best to wear it for 7-10 days. Remember that the wear time can differ for each person based on physical activity, skin type, and how much you sweat.

The most common place to wear the sweat patch is the upper-outer arm. If you prefer to wear the sweat patch on a different part of the body, that’s okay. Make sure the patch is placed on an area of skin that is free of hair and not exposed to a lot of flexing and wrinkling or rubbing against clothing. The patch should be placed on skin that is smooth and flexed. Allow your skin to cool off before putting the patch on if you have been exercising or outside in high heat.

Each kit has everything you need for one test. It includes a sweat patch, an optional overlay, alcohol wipes, tweezers, a specimen bag with a barcode sticker, a prepaid return envelope, a quick start guide, and detailed instructions.

When you receive your kit, you will find a unique code of letters and numbers in the Quick Start Guide. This code is important because it helps you keep track of your kit and find your test results. To protect your privacy, we don’t store this code with your purchase details. If you happen to lose it, we won’t be able to give you a new one.

You don’t have to change your daily routines. You can wear the patch while showering, exercising, working, and sleeping. When you dry yourself with a towel, gently pat the patch instead of rubbing it. Avoid really hot temperatures, like saunas, hot tubs, and tanning beds.

Careful! You won’t be able to see your test results if you don’t have your Personal Identification and Lab Number. Keep the Quick Start Guide in a safe place!  TruPatch™ keeps everything private, so our customer service team can’t help if you lose or misplace the Quick Start Guide. 

Your kit is valid for six months following the date of purchase. If you do not submit a specimen to the lab within six months, your test may no longer be processed.

Samples are shipped via FedEx Ground and should arrive to the lab within 1-5 business days. Results are posted within 24-72 hours of arrival at the lab.

If your results are not ready, your specimen may still be in transit or intake with the lab. Please allow 3-8 days after mailing.

Test results are accessible for 90 days. We will not retain or store any results after 90 days.

1. Results may not be provided or may be inaccurate if you fail to use the kit as directed.
2. This test can be used on sweat samples only. Do not use with any other fluid.
3. Samples should be shipped within 14 days of removal. Old samples may not be suitable for testing.
4. If you add products or chemicals to the patch your sample may be rejected.
5. Your sample may be rejected if you fail to submit the entire white absorbent pad for testing.
6. The laboratory will not test the sample if the film or anything other than the white pad is in the specimen bag.
7. Your sample will not be tested, and you will not receive results if you do not submit a patch for testing.
8. Your sample will not be tested, and you will not receive results unless you register your kit prior to the lab receiving the sample.
